R course for beginners 27 Feb – 01 Mar 2023
Welcome to register for the programming language R – a beginner workshop. This workshop aims at young and senior scientists who use R primarily for statistical data analysis, but also to (beforehand) process data with reproducible techniques and to (afterwards) present it in a modern and comprehensible way. The goal is specifically to learn statistical knowledge in an intuitive and practicable manner. The focus of this workshop is mainly on practical application, so that the methods mentioned below and their underlying theory are explained with the help of illustrative examples.
Lecturer: Dr. Paul SCHMIDT completed his PhD in biostatistics at the University of Hohenheim in 2019 and has been working as a data scientist in life sciences at BioMath since then. He also gives beginner and advanced workshops in R and likes when complicated methods are explained well, when results are presented in a concise yet beautiful manner, and when R does its magic.
