Prof. Désiré Jean Pascal LOMPO

Désiré J.P. Lompo holds a PhD in organic agriculture from the University of Kassel (Germany). He is specialised in Agronomy and soil science. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dédougou (Burkina Faso) where he is the Vice-President in charge of research and international cooperation. Prof. Désiré J.P. Lompo main area of expertise is research and training in sustainable soil fertility management and crop production. His research activities focus on the production and use of biochar as soil amendement to sequester carbon and to improve soil quality and crop yields while minimising greenhouse gas emission. Prof. Désiré J.P. Lompo works in collaboration with several national and international partners.
