    What You’ll Learn:

    In this practical short course, you’ll gain the skills to:

    • Use the DIGI-FACE Toolkit to calculate the costs of developing and running online courses
    • Understand and distinguish between different types of costs (direct, indirect, and overheads)
    • Create realistic cost calculations for your own course offerings
    • Contribute to long-term planning for the sustainability of your Centre’s e-learning activities

    Hands-On Learning:

    This course is designed for the application of guided use of the DIGI-FACE Toolkit, developed with input from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management; practicing exercises where you calculate real costs for your own course and enrichment activities to estimate and plan for the broader costs of running your Centre of Excellence.

    Course Format:

    Self-paced modules + two 90-minute Zoom sessions

    Live Zoom sessions:

    Session 1: Introduction to cost calculation
    Session 2: Discussion of your own cost analysis

    Learning Outcomes:

    • Prepare realistic cost analyses for online courses
    • Sensitise colleagues to the importance of financial planning for sustainability
    • Apply cost-calculation skills to support long-term e-learning strategies

    Requirements:

    Access to Moodle, internet connection, and standard office tools (Word, Excel, PDF reader); commitment to complete exercises and transfer tasks within your Centre and active participation in Zoom sessions for discussions and feedback.
