    Empower Your Role as a Moodle Manager!

    Perfect for:

    Centre IT Managers and designated staff at Centres of African Excellence who are responsible for creating courses, enrolling users, and supporting colleagues on the DIGI-FACE Moodle platform.

    What You’ll Learn:

    In this practical, hands-on mini-module, you’ll develop the essential skills to:

    • Define your role as a Moodle Manager within the DIGI-FACE ecosystem
    • Understand the difference between authentication and enrolment
    • Create course shells (blank, from templates, or from components of another course)
    • Apply correct naming conventions for courses
    • Enrol users individually or as a cohort
    • Explain Moodle roles and responsibilities to colleagues
    • Support your peers in using and managing course shells

    Hands-On Learning:

    Experiment safely in a Moodle “playground site” without fear of damaging the live platform; engage with forums, quizzes, and exercises designed to deepen your learning; practice setting up courses, duplicating shells, and enrolling users step by step and receive additional extra tips with practical shortcuts and best practices.

    Course Format:

    Fully self-paced unless advertised as a facilitated module.

    Requirements:

    Access to Moodle; a willingness to collaborate actively through forums and WhatsApp and commitment to attend live sessions and complete self-paced tasks.
