The DAAD programme “Leadership for Africa“, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, offers scholarships for Master‘s degree courses in Germany. This programme has been launched in 2021 and aims on supporting the academic qualification and advancement of young refugees and national scholars from West, Central and East Africa at higher education institutions in Germany. Each year the target countries both in East Africa and West and Central Africa will be announced prior to the call for application. For this year’s call, the target countries are as follows:
West and Central Africa: Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Niger and Senegal
East Africa: Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda
Nationals of or refugees in the aforementioned African countries can apply for the scholarships for postgraduate studies at German universities.
